Thank you for taking the time to visit Carney Funeral Home's website, where we respectfully provide funeral and cremation services in Blytheville, AR. Since our establishment in May of 2008, Carney Funeral Home has been owned and operated by dedicated individuals who care deeply about serving our community.
We were founded by Tommy and Mabelee Carney, Randy and Lana Carney, and Susan Carney Myers. However, we experienced the loss of Randy Carney in August of 2017 and Tommy Carney in February of 2021. Currently, Mabelee Carney is the owner, and Susan Myers is responsible for the day-to-day operations.
Randy Carney was a beloved member of the Blytheville community, with over 30 years of experience as a funeral home director and embalmer. He also served as the manager/CEO of multiple funeral homes and had a special expertise in pre-needs. In addition to his funeral home career, Randy was a dedicated County Judge and a certified eye enucleator with the Arkansas Eye Bank. He valued his faith, family, and community above all else.
Dr. Tommy Carney, a native of Blytheville, was an ordained minister with over six decades of experience. In addition to being a licensed funeral director and the funeral home's administrator, he also oversaw the cemetery operations. Tommy Carney served our community as Mississippi County Coroner, taught as an adjunct instructor at Arkansas Northeastern College, and dedicated himself to his family. He and Mabelee Carney were happily married for 65 years and raised five children.
Dr. Mabelee Carney, a respected member of Blytheville, serves as our office manager and a licensed funeral director. Prior to her position at the funeral home, she worked as a math instructor at Arkansas Northeastern College and headed the College Preparation Department for eight years.
Susan Carney Myers, another native of Blytheville, manages the funeral home and holds licenses as a specialist in pre-needs and a funeral director. Her husband, Ronnie, assists with various duties, including cemetery responsibilities. Additionally, her son, Daniel, contributes to our team by assisting with removals, lawn care, and funerals.
