Our charge for a direct cremation, without a ceremony, includes the basic services of a funeral director and staff, a proportionate share of overhead costs, removal of remains, refrigeration, local transportation to the crematory, a standard-size plastic urn, necessary authorizations, and the cremation process itself.

For those who choose a direct cremation, alternative containers can be used to encase the body. These containers can be made of materials such as fiberboard or composition materials, with or without an outside covering. At Bakersfield Funeral Home, we provide corrugated fiberboard containers as an option for direct cremations.

In addition to our standard services, we also offer funeral shipping services, starting at $4595.00, for those who require transportation to Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, and other locations.
