At Greenlawn Memorial Park, we honor the vision of Ed Helm (1891-1952), the founder of our funeral home. With his foresight and the growing needs of Bakersfield, Ed established Greenlawn Memorial Park in 1931 and initiated the planning process for Greenlawn Mortuary in 1934. In 1941, Ed himself broke ground for the construction of our chapel.
