Welcome to Shepherd Of The Rockies, the only Lutheran Church (Missouri Synod) in the mountain area of Bailey, Colorado. If you are searching for a friendly, welcoming mountain church, you have come to the right place. Despite our small congregation and unpredictable weather, our atmosphere is always warm and cheerful.

Join us for our services, which begin every Sunday at 9 am, except on Easter and Christmas when we also hold Wednesday services. Please check our blog for service details. Our services offer a perfect blend of traditional and contemporary music, creating a truly beautiful experience to worship. We offer communion on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month, as well as the 5th Sunday when applicable. During the summer months, we offer communion every Sunday to accommodate those who can only attend during that time. Gluten-free wafers and grape juice are available as alternatives.

Before taking communion with us for the first time, please speak with Pastor Pete. If you are unable to walk to the altar, Pastor Pete will come to you in your pew. As you gaze through the huge window behind our altar, you will be captivated by the breathtaking view of Mount Rosalie. Our church was intentionally built to offer this incredible perspective of God's creation.

At Shepherd Of The Rockies, our services are guided by core Lutheran beliefs. We recite either the Apostles Creed or the Nicene Creed in every service, reinforcing our faith and commitment to Christian values.

If you have a passion for music and good food, consider joining our active praise band or attending our fellowship time after each service. Our praise band comprises various instruments, including guitars, banjo, drums, piano, violin/viola, and harp. We encourage participation from those who love to sing or play an instrument. Additionally, we host special breakfast banquets on Mother's Day, Father's Day, and Easter, which are not to be missed!

If you are interested in delving deeper into the Bible, we offer Sunday school and Bible Study sessions on Sundays, as well as weekday Bible study times. Children's confirmation classes are also available on Sundays for Grades 6-8.

In addition to fostering spiritual growth, we encourage social interaction and fellowship. Our Men's Breakfast and Elder's Meetings take place on the first or second Saturday of every month, while our LWML (Lutheran Women's Missionary League) meetings are held on the third Saturday. All women are automatic members and are welcome at these meetings.

Shepherd Of The Rockies is conveniently located just off Highway 285 in Bailey, Colorado. We welcome visitors from the Highway 285 corridor mountain community and beyond, with some members traveling from as far as Littleton or Fairplay to join us in prayer.
