Established in 1950 by W. Clyde Lankford and his wife, Eleanor, Lankford Funeral Home began its journey as Colonial Funeral Home, located at 220 E. New York Avenue in DeLand, FL. As they started their family, Cheryl and Larry, the Lankfords resided above the funeral home, dedicating themselves to serving their community.

In the late 1950s, recognizing the growing needs of the community, the Lankfords renamed the establishment to Lankford Funeral Home. By 1965, the business had flourished, prompting an expansion that included a chapel accommodating 175-200 individuals comfortably. Today, we have undergone a complete renovation to provide a homely ambience and comfortable surroundings to the families we serve.

Sadly, Clyde Lankford passed away in March 2000, followed by Eleanor in March 2006. Their daughter, Cheryl L. Lankford, now proudly owns and operates the funeral home, continuing her parents' legacy with unwavering dedication.

With 21 years since Clyde Lankford's passing, Lankford Funeral Home remains committed to serving the community and the entire Volusia County area.
