Doorway Into Light: Honoring Life with Compassion and Sacredness

Doorway Into Light, the only nonprofit and certified green funeral home in Hawaii, has been serving the beautiful island of Maui since 2012. Our mission is to provide compassionate care and support to individuals and families during their journey towards the end of life.

With reverence and love, we treat the dying and their families as sacred beings, providing counseling, family support, and pre-planning services. Our commitment to the well-being of the community drives us to offer low or no-cost services, making our support accessible to all.

To sustain our work throughout the year, we strongly rely on the generosity of our beloved friends and supporters. As part of our commitment to the community, Doorway Into Light now offers FREE/NO COST FUNERAL, BURIAL, OCEAN BODY BURIAL, AND CREMATION SERVICES to Lahaina families who have suffered the loss of a loved one in the recent fire. We aim to alleviate any financial stress that may accompany their grief and assist in their healing process.

Our larger mission extends to providing these same free services to Maui's homeless, low-income individuals, and veterans. By supporting our cause, you become an integral part of transforming the face of funeral homes, shifting the focus from profit-driven ventures to a sacred service rooted in compassion and care.
