Recent services: - Donald L. Pint: Donald L. Pint, age 81 of Fairbank, passed away on January 7, 2024, at Mercy One hospital in Waterloo. Don's life will be honored with a visitation from 2:00-5:00 PM on Sunday, January 14th at Woods Funeral Home in Fairbank. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 15th at 10:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Church in Fairbank. Military Rites will be conducted by the Fairbank American Legion Fortsch-Duffy Post 552. Don will be dearly missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, and many others whom he adored.

- John Martin Riordan: John Martin Riordan, age 79 of rural Westgate, passed away on December 1, 2023, at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Sumner, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 4th from 4:00-7:00 PM at Woods Funeral Home in Fairbank. Services will be held on Tuesday, December 5th at 10:30 AM at First Baptist Church in Dunkerton. Interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Dunkerton. Military Rites will be conducted by the Dunkerton American Legion Peter Kress Post 636. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.

- Ivadel Luloff: Ivadel Luloff, age 101, of Fairbank and formerly of Independence, passed away on October 7, 2023, at her home. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 12 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Woods Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 13 at 10:30 AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Independence. Interment will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery in Independence. Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or to the family for later designation.

- Dennis Richards: Dennis Richards, age 59 of Fairbank, passed away on October 6, 2023, at his home after a lengthy battle with cancer. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, from 4:00-8:00 PM at Woods Funeral Home. Dennis requested a private family burial without church services, which will take place at a later date in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.

- Warren Ivan Finch: Warren Ivan Finch, after his yearlong valiant battle with cancer, departed from this world on July 14, 2023. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Woods Funeral Home in Fairbank. Military Rites will be conducted by the Fairbank American Legion Fortsch-Duffy Post 552. Inurnment will take place at Fairbank Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Stillpoint School.

- Jerome Herbert Shannon: Jerome Herbert Shannon, age 79 of Fairbank, passed away on September 3, 2023, at MercyOne Hospital in Oelwein. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 7th from 4:00-7:00 PM at Woods Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 8th at 10:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fairbank. Interment will take place at Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.

- Roger Lee Kane: Roger Lee Kane, age 86, passed away on August 6, 2023, at the Oelwein Care Center. Services are pending at this time.

- Barbara Jean Gipper: Barbara Jean Gipper, after a long courageous battle with cancer, passed away on June 15, 2023, at MercyOne Medical Center in Oelwein. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023, at 10:30 AM at Woods Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday from 9:00-10:30 AM at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place at Fairbank Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.

- Marie Arlene (Bickel) Westphal: Marie Arlene (Bickel) Westphal, age 82 of rural Fairbank, passed away on April 22, 2023, at Unity Point Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023, from 9:00-10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church in Dunkerton. Funeral services will follow at the same location. Interment will take place at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in McGregor, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
