We recently had the honor of hosting the visitation and service for Linda H. McIntyre-Couch, age 45, of University Park, Illinois. Linda was a beloved wife, mother, and daughter who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. The visitation and service were held on Saturday, March 2nd, from 10:30AM until the time of service at 1:00PM. A solemn interment followed at Assumption Cemetery in Glenwood, Illinois.

Another cherished member of our community, Geno V. Caffarini, age 93, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. Geno was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who touched the lives of many through his work as the owner of Geno's Food and Liquors. Visitation took place on Sunday, March 3rd, from 2PM until 7PM at Kerr-Parzygnot Funeral Home, located at 540 Dixie Hwy. (at Joe Orr Road) in Chicago Heights, IL. The funeral mass was held on Monday at Our Lady of the Heights (St. Kieran Church) with interment at Assumption Cemetery.

Nolberto Loya, age 59, of Crete, Illinois, also left a lasting impact on our community. He was a beloved son, husband, and father who will be dearly missed. A memorial gathering was held on Wednesday, February 28th, from 4:00PM until the time of service at 7:00PM at the Crete Funeral Home, located at 1182 Main St. (Dixie Highway) in Crete, IL.

We also had the privilege of commemorating the life of Ilona Wiberg, age 62, of Chicago Heights, IL. Ilona was a devoted mother, grandmother, and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. She will be forever loved and missed by her family and friends. A memorial gathering took place on Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 3:00 P.M. until the time of the memorial service at 6:00 P.M. at Kerr-Parzygnot Funeral Home.

Michael C. Barry, age 62, was a beloved husband, father, and brother who peacefully passed away at home. Michael dedicated himself to his work and community, leaving a lasting impact on those around him. Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 28th, from 2:00PM to 8:00PM at Kerr-Parzygnot Funeral Home, and the funeral mass took place on Thursday at Our Lady of the Heights (St. Kieran), followed by interment at Assumption Cemetery.

Finally, we remember Thomas Earl Rubin Sr., a hardworking man who had a passion for woodworking. Thomas passed away on February 15, 2024, and left behind a loving family. A visitation was held at Crete Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at Trinity Lutheran Church in Crete, with burial at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
