Goodwin Funeral Home Inc., established in 1946, has been dedicated to providing dignified care to the community during times of personal loss. Founded on the principles of dignity, caring, and trust by Mr. A. K. Goodwin, our commitment to these values has endured for over 75 years.

Throughout the years, these principles have been upheld by successive owners, from Chat and Martha Maxfield to the present owners, John R., III and Margie Vinson. Dignity, caring, and trust are not just our business principles, but they are the core of our existence. Whether it is supporting local organizations or assisting families in times of grief, our commitment remains unwavering.

Nestled on beautiful historic Main Street in Cadiz, our funeral home is housed in a historic building originally constructed in the late 1870s. Transformed into a funeral home in 1946, our facility offers the same warmth and comfort as any family home. We take great pride in providing a reassuring and "home-like" atmosphere for our families during their difficult times.

In these challenging moments, you can rely on a dedicated staff with over 160 years of combined experience. With their wealth of knowledge, they can answer the most difficult questions that come with loss, providing simple, informative, and compassionate responses. We have heard and addressed these questions numerous times, understanding the need for guidance and solace during this period.

Our commitment to serving your families began 77 years ago, and it continues unwaveringly to this day - from our family to yours.

To ensure the utmost professionalism, we have a pre-need counselor on staff. We are also proud members of the Kentucky Funeral Director's Association (KFDA) and the National Funeral Director's Association (NFDA) Cremation Services. In addition, Goodwin Funeral Home Inc. boasts two service chapels, a comfortable lounge for family and friends, and a dining facility. Our team comprises four licensed funeral directors and three licensed embalmers, equipped to cater to your specific needs.
