The legacy of Buonfiglio Funeral Home spans five generations, starting over a century ago with Leopoldo Buonfiglio and his wife, Rosa. Their commitment led to the establishment of the inaugural Buonfiglio Funeral Home in Schenectady, NY, in 1911. Their relocation to Revere, MA, in 1923 marked the opening of Buonfiglio Funeral Service at their Mountain Avenue residence.

In 1947, their son Paul Buonfiglio continued the family tradition, erecting the new Paul Buonfiglio Funeral Chapel at its current Revere location in 1964. Tragically, Paul passed away unexpectedly in 1972, prompting his son, Paul Jr., to step into the role of carrying on the family legacy. Paul Jr., along with his sons Paul III and Victor, assumed increasing responsibilities over the years, assuming full leadership in 1991.

In 2004, the Buonfiglio family acquired the esteemed Bruno Funeral Chapel, further solidifying their commitment to the Revere community. In 2005, the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home was inaugurated, upholding the traditions of Buonfiglio Funeral Home.

Today, Paul Stephen Buonfiglio, a member of the fifth generation, has returned to the family business after his service in the U.S. Navy. With a deep sense of duty and eagerness to carry on the Buonfiglio Funeral Home traditions, Paul Stephen assumed a leadership role in 2024, ensuring a continued dedication to service for years to come.
