Kenneth W. McDonald, 94, of Rochester, passed away on January 20, 2024 in Rochester. Born on October 17, 1929 in rural Byron, MN, Kenneth's life will be commemorated with an interment at the Grandview Memorial Gardens Columbarium, Rochester, MN in the Spring.
James Edward Morrow, 84, of Kasson, peacefully departed on January 23, 2024, just one day before his 85th birthday at Prairie Meadow Sr. Living in Kasson. James was a remarkable individual who lived a life filled with love, passion, and dedication. Born on January 24, 1939 in Dexter, MN to Aurville and Sarah Morrow, he embraced his community with open arms. A devoted family man, he cherished the moments spent with his wife, five children, 11 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. James was actively involved in his community, serving as a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kasson and the local Lions Club, among other notable contributions. Join us as we celebrate his life with a funeral service on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at St. John’s Lutheran Church followed by a light lunch. Prior to the service, there will be an hour of visitation at the church. James will find his eternal resting place at Maple Grove Cemetery in Kasson.
Joyce E. Sauter, 95, of Dodge Center, passed away on January 19, 2024 at Pine Haven Care Center in Pine Island, MN. A dedicated member of her community and a loving mother and grandmother, Joyce's memory will be celebrated with a memorial gathering on Tuesday, January 30, from 1:00-3:00 pm at the Dibble Funeral Home in Kasson. Following the gathering, she will rest at Riverside Cemetery in Dodge Center.
Janis Elizabeth Smith, 93, of Kasson, gracefully passed away on January 14, 2024 at Prairie Meadows Sr. Living Center after a valiant battle with Alzheimer's Dementia. Born on May 20, 1930 in Mantorville Township, Janis devoted her life to her family and community. From her cherished interactions with customers as a long-time employee at the Hubbell House to her dedication to various organizations, including the American Legion Auxiliary and VFW Auxiliary, her legacy will forever inspire. Join us as we honor Janis' life with a funeral service on Friday, January 19 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kasson. Prior to the service, there will be an hour of visitation. Janis will find eternal peace at Evergreen Cemetery in Mantorville.
Nancy J. Houston, 91, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2024 at her home in Mantorville. Born on December 23, 1932, Nancy lived a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories. Clement Joseph Besch, 92, left this world on December 8, 2023. Born on February 17, 1931 in Whittemore, IA, Clement's life was dedicated to his family and his farm. As a lifelong farmer, he poured his heart and soul into the land he tended. Join us in celebrating Clement's life with a Funeral Mass on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at The Church of the Holy Family in Kasson. Prior to the Mass, there will be a visitation at the church. Clement will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in Hayfield.
Doris Jean Pietrzak, born on November 12, 1940, joined the Lord on October 8, 2023. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Doris' memory will be cherished by her sons, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other loved ones. A private service for the immediate family will be held, honoring her life and the love she shared.
Colleen Beverly Ness, age 94, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023, surrounded by her family at the Field Crest Care Center in Hayfield, MN. Colleen's warmhearted nature and devotion to her loved ones will always be remembered. Join us in paying tribute to Colleen's life at South Zumbro Lutheran Church, where she invested her time teaching Sunday School and participating in the choir. A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 17, and the funeral service will take place on Monday, September 18.
Milo Ellsworth Bjergum, 90, of Kasson, peacefully left this world on July 22, 2023. Surrounded by his family and his faithful companion, Sammi, he embarked on his final journey. Milo's dedicated service as the Kasson Chief of Police left an indelible mark on his community. A private graveside service will be held to honor his life.
