Metro First Call: Serving the Funeral Industry with Excellence

Established in 2013, Metro First Call has been a trusted provider of funeral services in the Minneapolis and St. Paul metro area, as well as beyond. With our headquarters located in Savage, Minnesota, we are dedicated to supporting the deathcare industry with a range of specialized services.

Our comprehensive offerings include first call removals, embalming and preparation, ship-out service, cremation, alkaline hydrolysis, and refrigeration. Whether you are a funeral home, a medical college, or a medical examiner, our aim is to not only streamline your operations but also contribute to the success of your business.

At Metro First Call, we bring extensive experience and professionalism to every case we handle. Our team is committed to customizing our support to meet your individual needs and concerns, ensuring a seamless and dignified process.

Tim Koch, the owner of Metro First Call, is a seasoned practitioner of mortuary science with over three decades of expertise. His vision in establishing M.F.C. was to provide exceptional funeral services that surpass industry standards. From our beautiful facility equipped with state-of-the-art technology to our fully equipped fleet of transportation vehicles, we have the resources needed to deliver unparalleled support.

When it comes to transport, we understand the importance of reliability and efficiency. With a fleet of ten vehicles, licensed morticians, trained transport assistants, and top-of-the-line equipment, we are well-equipped to handle all types of first calls. Our dedicated staff members are on call 24/7/365, always ready to serve you. Please contact us for a comprehensive breakdown of our rates.

Metro First Call also features a modern refrigeration system to meet your short- or long-term storage requirements. Our large walk-in cooler, outfitted with Mopec® stainless steel trays and racking, ensures optimal preservation. In addition, we offer a complimentary week of storage in our cooler for each embalming or cremation service we provide. For detailed information about pricing, duration, or capacity, please reach out to us.

As a licensed funeral service, Metro First Call takes pride in our cremation capabilities. With two retorts, including one able to handle the most extreme cases of up to 1200 lbs, we offer families a choice between flame and flameless cremation. We prioritize security by restricting access to our cooler, prep, alkaline hydrolysis, and cremation facility areas to our qualified staff. Rest assured, a staff member will always be present during the transfer of remains into our care. Contact us for further details.

When it comes to embalming, Metro First Call sets the standard for quality and professionalism. Our experienced licensed morticians are proficient in providing exceptional embalming services. From cases that involve autopsy or trauma to those requiring organ/tissue donation or bariatric care, our staff is well-versed in accommodating various needs. Feel free to contact us for more information.

At Metro First Call, we understand the importance of choice and environmental consciousness. That's why we now offer families the option of alkaline hydrolysis, a flameless cremation process. Families who choose this method appreciate the absence of a flame, the approximately 20% increase in cremains returned, the perceived gentleness of this option, and the reduced environmental impact. This process entails no emissions, less energy consumption, and a smaller carbon footprint.

We recognize that each case may have unique requirements that extend beyond our core offerings. Rest assured, we are committed to meeting your diverse funerary needs on a case-by-case basis. Please do not hesitate to contact us for any services not listed here.

As Sir William Ewart Gladstone once said, "Show me the manner in which a nation cares for its dead and I will measure with mathematical exactness the tender mercies of its people, their respect for the laws of the land, and their loyalty to high ideals." At Metro First Call, we strive to embody these high ideals by providing compassionate and professional funeral services.

We invite you to get in touch with us to set up a consultation or inquire about the suitability of our services for your needs. Please find our contact details below. We look forward to the honor of serving you.
