With a distinguished history spanning over a century, Ambruster Chapel was founded by Robert J. Ambruster in St. Louis. For more than 25 years, we have served the citizens of St. Louis with excellence, continually adapting to their changing needs. In the late 1920s, we enlisted the renowned architectural firm of Maritz, Young, and Dusard to design a larger facility to accommodate the growing demands of St. Louis County. Finally, in 1931, we moved to our current location in Clayton, Missouri.

In 1980, we proudly acquired Donnelly Funeral Home, cherishing the longstanding relationship we shared with the Donnelly Family. Merging our names, we became Ambruster Donnelly. Although some changes have occurred since then, we remain as Ambruster Chapel, ready to serve you with utmost care and respect.
