Established in July, 1997, Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro, NC has been providing exceptional funeral services and cremation solutions to our community. Founded by Stephen R. Howell, our funeral home has overcome initial doubts to become a true pillar of support for families during their time of need.

When we first started, located on East Walnut Street, skeptics doubted our success without parking and a proper chapel. However, we saw the entire city as our parking lot, eliminating the need for a dedicated space. Despite these challenges, we served 30 families in our first year, and through our dedication and professionalism, that number tripled to 90 in the second year.

In December 1999, we proudly unveiled our beautiful new facility at 1500 Wayne Memorial Drive, which included Wayne County's first on-site crematory. Recognizing the need in our community, we expanded our services to include a pet crematory in 2001, accompanied by a range of pet memorial products. We continue to grow to meet the needs of our families, evidenced by the addition of 3000 square feet in 2003 to accommodate a new chapel, casket and cremation options room, and conference room.

Beyond our physical expansion, our true growth lies in our commitment to serving our community. Howell Funeral Home & Crematory continually strives to provide compassionate and caring services to each family we serve.
