Born in Chase City, Va., he was educated at Thyne Institute High School before earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from Knoxville College. Tyree was also a charter member of the Beta Phi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. After marrying his wife, Louise Brown, in 1954, Tyree entered the funeral industry, following in the footsteps of his mother-in-law, Adele M. Brown, and his wife. This legacy of caring for families through funeral services continues to inspire and guide us today.
