Please note that the application for FEMA assistance can only be made via telephone at this time. Online application is currently unavailable. To begin the application process, please call the COVID-19 Funeral Assistance Line at 844-684-6333. The death certificate must indicate that COVID-19 was a factor in the person's death, and the death must have occurred after January 20, 2020. Additionally, if your loved one had a pre-funded funeral trust account or other pre-designated payment for funeral expenses, they may not qualify for this assistance.
