The Embalmers Association of Cleveland has been a staple in the funeral industry since its inception in 1935. Founded by Charles F. Malasca, a visionary professional embalmer, the association was born out of a recognized need for a collective platform to address embalming challenges.

During the early years, the meetings primarily consisted of open discussions and brainstorming sessions among embalmers. It was during this time that the foundations for a stronger association were laid. In 1938, a constitution was adopted, marking a turning point for the organization. Since then, the association has been conducting monthly meetings, fostering knowledge exchange and professional growth among its members.

One of the highlights of the Embalmers Association of Cleveland is the annual Educational Clinics, where distinguished speakers and experts from all corners of the country deliver insightful lectures and demonstrations. This gathering of industry leaders ensures that our embalmers stay up-to-date with the latest developments and advancements in the field.

Over the years, the association underwent name changes to better reflect its evolving identity and purpose. In 1973, it became the Embalmers Society of Cleveland, and in 1977, it assumed its current name, the Embalmers Association of Cleveland.
