One of our recent memorial services honored the life of James Jackson, a retired master sergeant who bravely fought cancer for 11 years. James was a dedicated servant to God, his country, and his community. After a distinguished 20-year career in the United States Air Force, he retired and enjoyed his retirement by traveling and relaxing. James later served as a lieutenant and jail administrator at the Oconne County Sheriff's Office in Georgia. He was loved and admired by his children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. We were privileged to arrange his memorial service at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, Oklahoma.
We also recently held a funeral service for Patricia Duncan-Lynch, a beloved member of the Pocola community. Patricia was born and raised in Wister, Oklahoma, and was preceded in death by her husbands, A.R. Duncan Jr. and Glenn Lynch, as well as her son, Bobby Duncan, and siblings. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and numerous other relatives. We had the honor of conducting her service at our chapel in Poteau, followed by her burial at Maxey Cemetery in Wister.
Another recent service we organized was for Bobby Jr. McMillin, a cherished member of the Cameron community. Bobby was born and raised in Poteau, Oklahoma, and was known for his deep love for his family and the great outdoors. He is survived by his daughter, brothers, grandchildren, and other loved ones. We held his funeral service at Rock Island Freewill Baptist Church in Rock Island, Oklahoma, and laid him to rest at Vaughn Cemetery in Gilmore.
We also remember Chadwick Shane Cooper, a beloved member of the Shady Point community. Chad was known for his love of fishing, hunting, and collecting antiques. He will be greatly missed by his mother, brother, nieces, nephews, and many friends. We hosted his memorial service at Calhoun Baptist Church in Calhoun, Oklahoma.
Additionally, we held a graveside service for Lois McKeown, who treasured her family and roots in Cameron, Oklahoma. Lois was preceded in death by her siblings but leaves behind her sisters, nieces, nephews, and other loved ones. We gathered at Greenhill Cemetery Pavilion in Cameron to pay our final respects and laid her to rest at Greenhill Cemetery.
