With a rich history spanning three generations, the Wackerman Funeral Home has been serving families with utmost compassion and professionalism since its establishment in the early 1940s by Charles V. Wackerman. Originally located in the Germantown section of Philadelphia, Charles later expanded his services to the Northern Liberties area of the city.

Dorothy Meehan Wackerman, who acquired her funeral directors' license in 1952, played a pivotal role in the growth of the Wackermans as they opened a new funeral home in Fox Chase in 1958. This expansion led to the closure of their Northern Liberties location.

Charles Wackerman, a lifetime member of the Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association and its former President, was not only dedicated to his profession but also served on the Pennsylvania State Board of Funeral Directors as Chairman for several terms.

Following in her father's footsteps, Elizabeth Wackerman Bailey, the current Supervisor of Wackerman Funeral Home Inc., obtained her funeral directors' license in 1993 after graduating from Northampton Community College. With an impressive academic background, Elizabeth is a graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School and Villanova University. She actively contributes to both the St. Hilary of Poitiers School and Church community, as well as being a parishioner of Our Lady Help of Christians Church.

Emily Wackerman Ellingsworth, another talented funeral director from the Wackerman family, acquired her license in 2010 after attending Northampton Community College. Emily's educational achievements include graduating from Bishop McDevitt High School and Arcadia University. As an active member of the Rotary Club of Willow Grove and serving on its board of directors for the past five years, Emily embodies the Wackerman commitment to community involvement.

It is important to note that each Wackerman funeral director is licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The Wackermans proudly maintain their membership in both the National Funeral Directors Association and the Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association.
