Bruce R. Hawkins, LFD, Supervisor, carries on the family legacy with pride and expertise. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Bruce has been immersed in the funeral business since his teenage years. After completing his education at Cheyney State University and McAllister Institute of Mortuary Science in New York, he became a Licensed Funeral Director in Pennsylvania. Bruce later worked with his family at the Julian V. Hawkins Funeral Home before opening his own funeral home in 1983.

Melanie, another integral member of our team, grew up in the funeral business and has continued her family's legacy. With a BA in Economics from Spelman College and an Associate's in Funeral Service from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service, Melanie brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to our clients. She holds an MBA in Organizational Management from Drexel University and is dedicated to serving our community.

Edward K. Gethers, a licensed funeral director, joined our family in 2013. With a background in psychology and a degree in Mortuary Science, Edward is passionate about helping families during their most challenging times. His commitment to providing support and care is unwavering.
