LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors gratefully acknowledges its establishment in 1918 when E.M. Blackburn, Sr. purchased the Eakle Funeral Home. Following its growth, Blackburn's Funeral Directors opened in 1919 and later built Amarillo's first Funeral Chapel at the corner of 5th and Pierce in 1941.
