Whitney’s Funeral Home, Mortuary, and Cremations, also known as Whitney's Life Center (WLC), is a distinguished mortuary service located in the heart of Washington, D.C. Our Funeral Parlor, situated at 1505 & 1515 Kenilworth Avenue, N.E., Washington, D.C., 20019, is conveniently located near the border of Maryland, just a short distance from the Virginia border. With our central location, WLC is able to conduct services at the family's site of choice or at partnering facilities for those without a designated venue or church home.

Owned by J. Whitney Keiller, a licensed mortician in the DMV, Whitney's Life Center was born out of his passion for both customer service and care. A standout athlete during his time in Maryland, Whitney pursued a successful career in medical sales after graduating from Radford University. However, his fascination with the medical profession drew him to mortuary science and funeral directing. Whitney returned to school at the University of the District of Columbia, where he excelled and graduated with honors within his field.

With over eight years of experience working in industry-leading, high-volume funeral homes in the DMV, as well as managing a family-owned funeral home, Whitney has cultivated the expertise needed to provide unparalleled care to families in the region. Notably, his proficiency in trauma cases and his talent for preparing the deceased for a natural presentation have allowed for the development of a unique system that guarantees exceptional care for families in need.

As a licensed mortician and funeral director in Maryland, J. Whitney Keiller possesses the credentials and expertise necessary to ensure a professional and compassionate service. He is a proud member of esteemed professional associations such as the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA), the Cremation Association of North America (CANA), and the National Funeral Directors & Morticians Association (NFD&MA).
