The Guillot Funeral Home has undergone a seamless transition of ownership, as Thomas Guillot, the former owner, has entrusted the business to local funeral home owner Richard Godere of Godere Funeral Home in Taftville. Together, they have worked tirelessly to ensure a continuation of the exceptional care and service that families have come to expect from us.

Richard Godere, a second-generation funeral director, has been serving the greater Norwich area since 1984, following in the footsteps of his father who opened the family business in 1958. With the addition of Melissa Godere, a third-generation funeral director, the legacy of compassionate care and professionalism will continue for generations to come.

Richard, Melissa, Tom Guillot, and Tom Neilan will be overseeing operations at our location on 21 North 2nd Avenue in Taftville. Rest assured, all pre-need contracts and services will be honored as we maintain strong relationships with our valued clients.
