At O'ahu Cemetery & Crematory, our mission is to provide care and compassion to our client families across Hawaii, while maintaining affordability. Since our establishment in 1844, we have embraced diversity and inclusion, welcoming families with unique cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds. During this difficult time, we invite you to consider our historic cemetery, a perpetual care facility, to honor and remember the life of your loved one, forever.

Founded in 1859, the O'ahu Cemetery Association stands as one of Hawaii's first non-profit organizations. As an independent non-profit 501(c)(13) entity, we are proud to be solely owned by our lot owners, operating for their benefit. Governed by a dedicated volunteer Board of Trustees & Directors, we offer a range of cremation, burial, and funeral services to suit your family's preferences and budget. Every family we serve is treated with the utmost respect and care, as if they were our own.

Immerse yourself in the rich history and serene beauty that graces our grounds. Our crematory, established in 1906, was a pioneering public crematory in the Hawaiian islands. Our experienced cremation experts bring compassion and expertise to each affordable cremation service, ensuring your loved one is never far from our dedicated care.

Choosing a final resting place is a significant decision, and O'ahu Cemetery & Crematory offers a variety of burial options, from individual to family lots. If cremation is your preference, we provide permanent placement of ashes. Rest assured, our meticulously maintained grounds are upheld through our professionally managed perpetual care fund.

Planning ahead for burial or cremation arrangements offers peace of mind for you and your loved ones. Our experienced team is here to assist you in preplanning your service, alleviating the stress of decision-making for your family. Rest easy, knowing that your end-of-life wishes will be executed exactly as you desire.

As a subsidiary of O'ahu Cemetery & Crematory, O'ahu Mortuary is a full-service mortuary, dedicated to providing affordable cremation, burial, funeral, visitation, and natural viewing services to families across Hawaii. With us, you have the flexibility to celebrate your loved one in a variety of ways, whether it be on our premises or elsewhere. Our compassionate funeral arrangers will handle all the necessary details, allowing you to focus on honoring your loved one's memory.

Our chapel, designed by renowned architect Oliver G. Traphagen, stands as a testament to his skill and vision. Traphagen, who also designed the iconic Moana Hotel, crafted our chapel in 1906. With a seating capacity of up to 150 guests, it serves as an ideal setting for personalized memorial services. The lanai offers a beautiful outdoor reception area for gatherings of up to 75 guests, fostering a healing environment for family and friends to come together.

As the first public cemetery in Hawaii, our history traces back to an 1844 land grant signed by King Kamehameha III, the longest reigning monarch in Hawaiian history. Today, O'ahu Cemetery & Crematory is the eternal home to some of the state's most esteemed individuals, including accomplished politicians, artists, educators, and more. Take the opportunity to explore the remarkable contributions made by each of our notable residents.

At O'ahu Cemetery & Crematory, we are committed to providing dignified and respectful services to honor the memory of your loved ones. With our historic legacy, compassionate staff, and beautiful facilities, we strive to support you during this difficult time.
