We are honored to extend our services to client families throughout Hawaii, providing care, compassion, and affordability. Since our establishment in 1844, we have celebrated diversity and inclusivity, catering to our international family of different cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds. During this difficult time, we are here to support and serve you, creating a meaningful ceremony to remember and cherish the life of your loved one, both now and forever.

In 1859, O'ahu Cemetery became one of Hawaii's first non-profits. In August 2013, O'ahu Mortuary was established as a subsidiary, wholly owned by O'ahu Cemetery & Crematory. In 2015, we completed a new crematory facility, equipped with three cremation units to serve families efficiently once all regulatory requirements are met. Families can choose to witness their loved one's committal in our welcoming Aloha Room.

At O'ahu Mortuary, we treat every family we serve as if they were our own. Our history and beauty speak volumes, showcasing our dedication to providing exceptional service. Established in 1906, we were the first public crematory in the Hawaiian islands. Throughout the years, our cremation experts have always offered affordable services filled with compassion and experience. Rest assured, when you choose us, your loved one will always remain in our care.

Selecting a final resting place is a significant decision, and at O'ahu Cemetery & Crematory, we provide various burial options, both for individuals and families. We also offer permanent placement of ashes for those who choose cremation. With our professionally managed perpetual care fund, you can trust that our grounds will be meticulously maintained.

Planning ahead and expressing your final wishes is a meaningful way to demonstrate your care for your family. When you work closely with our funeral directors or pre-planning counselors, you will receive personalized care, expert advice, and answers to all your questions. Start the process by using our free pre-planning guide.

If you select cremation with O'ahu Mortuary, you can also consider memorializing your loved one in our stunning glass cremation niche or on our serene grounds at O'ahu Cemetery. Our tranquil columbarium offers an elegant final resting place, featuring soft lighting and contemporary design elements that create a soothing environment for future generations to revisit for years to come.

Our chapel, designed by renowned architect Oliver G. Traphagen, holds historical significance. Traphagen also designed the first hotel on Waikiki Beach, the Moana, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In 1906, he created the chapel at O'ahu Cemetery. Our historic chapel can accommodate up to 150 guests, providing a personalized memorial service. The lanai, with its beautiful outdoor setting, can host up to 75 guests for an additional reception area. Gathering here with family and friends allows for reflection, respect, and remembrance.

O'ahu Mortuary operates under the ownership of O'ahu Cemetery & Crematory, a non-profit 501(c)(13) organization. Choosing our services means embracing a multitude of options to celebrate your loved one. Our dedicated funeral arrangers will be there every step of the way, managing all the details, whether you prefer to celebrate on our premises or elsewhere.
