The Celebration of Life for our departed is scheduled to take place from 2:00-7:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Moose Lodge, located at 527 Erie Street in Storm Lake, Iowa. Join us as we pay tribute to their remarkable lives and the indelible impact they made in our hearts.

A Graveside Memorial Service will follow at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Oakland Cemetery in Sac City, Iowa. This solemn occasion will provide an opportunity to gather and cherish the cherished memories we shared with our dear departed.

Established in 1943 by Arlin Otteman and Charles L. Farber, Farber & Otteman Funeral Home has been a pillar of support in times of loss and grief. They took over Mr. A.G. Neal's business, driven by a deep sense of duty to serve their community.

Recognizing the need for more efficient services and state-of-the-art equipment, Mr. Farber and Mr. Otteman expanded their services and established funeral homes in Schaller, Storm Lake, Lake View, Newell, and Wall Lake between 1954 and 1965. With the addition of the Odebolt location in 1965, they further extended their compassionate presence.

When Mr. Farber retired in 1965, Mr. and Mrs. Otteman took the helm, tirelessly guiding and nurturing Farber & Otteman Funeral Homes. In 1980, a corporation was formed, with Arlin E. Otteman as President, J. Richard Seger as Vice President, Roderick G. Sorensen as Secretary, and Ronald J. Nelson as Treasurer. Together, these owners continued the noble legacy of their predecessors.

We have four convenient locations to serve you, each dedicated to providing the utmost care and support during times of loss. Our facilities in Sac City, Lake View, Odebolt, and Wall Lake stand as beacons of solace, where families can find solace and comfort.
