Since our establishment in 1950 by Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Buchanan, our funeral home has remained a pillar of dignity and professionalism in Barry and Lawrence Counties. In 1964, Mr. and Mrs. Glennon Holmes assumed ownership, followed by Mr. and Mrs. Doug Hobson and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Hemphill in 1980. In 2006, Mr. William J. "B.J." Goodwin, III, owner of Ozark Funeral Homes, Inc., took over and updated the funeral home to provide a comfortable setting for those in the community who have experienced the loss of a loved one. In 2021, Jeremy and Angi Vanderbol became the new owners, carrying on the longstanding tradition of service since 1950.
