Buchanan Funeral Home, located in Monett, Missouri, is an independently owned and operated funeral home that provides compassionate and dedicated service to every family we have the privilege of serving. Established in 1950, our funeral home has a long history filled with tradition and warmth.

Originally founded by Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Buchanan, the business continued to prosper under the ownership of Mr. and Mrs. Glennon Holmes in 1964. In 1980, Mr. and Mrs. Doug Hobson and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Hemphill acquired Buchanan Funeral Home. The funeral home was later purchased by Mr. William J. "B.J." Goodwin, III in 2006, who played an instrumental role in updating our facilities to provide a comfortable setting for those in the community who have lost a loved one. Finally, in July 2021, Jeremy and Angi Vanderbol had the opportunity to purchase the funeral home from the Goodwin Family. Jeremy Vanderbol, who has managed the funeral home since 2009, is now dedicated to upholding the long-standing tradition of serving the community with trusted and compassionate service.
