Introducing Strawbridge Memorial Chapel
The Cleveland Memorial Society proudly welcomes Strawbridge Memorial Chapel as our newest funeral director partner. Established in 2008 by the city's first African American female funeral home owner and president, Stephanie E. Strawbridge, this chapel embodies over thirty years of expertise in the funeral industry. With a dedicated staff committed to caring for families from all walks of life, Stephanie and Strawbridge Memorial Chapel are valuable additions to our society.
Shapiro Funeral Services
We regret to inform you that Ms. Shapiro, the previous owner of Shapiro Funeral Services, has chosen not to renew her contract with us. As a result, we have reassigned affected members to other reputable funeral homes and sent letters notifying them of the situation. While this may be disappointing, we take pride in maintaining strong relationships with various funeral directors who prioritize the comfort and satisfaction of our members. Rest assured, no matter which associate you choose, you can trust that you will be in good hands. Our office remains at your disposal should you require further assistance or wish to select a different director.
Funerals during a Pandemic
The ongoing pandemic has reshaped end-of-life gatherings for everyone, not just those affected by Covid-19. To help navigate this challenging time, the Funeral Consumers Alliance has produced an informative video presentation discussing options for what they call "distance grieving." They address concerns about handling deceased bodies during the pandemic, providing factual information to alleviate any anxieties you may have.
Supporting the Memorial Society
We deeply appreciate your support in our mission to ensure funeral costs remain simple, dignified, and affordable for all. To quote one of our members, C.C., "I appreciate your efforts directed towards insuring that funeral costs are simple, dignified, yet inexpensive for my cremation selection." Your endorsement encourages us to continue our work, serving you and your loved ones during the difficult period of grief.
A Lifeline in Times of Grief
The Cleveland Memorial Society proved to be a lifeline for countless individuals during their moments of sorrow. Reflecting on their experience, a member shared, "It wasn't until my father died that I realized what a favor he had done for us by becoming a member of the Cleveland Memorial Society. The Society offered wonderful support during a time of grief." We understand the importance of compassionate assistance when you need it the most, and we are honored to have been there for our members.
Thank You, Cleveland Memorial Society
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has reached out to us during their time of need. Your words of appreciation, such as those expressed by J.B., "Thank you so much for all of your help. This has been the most helpful call I have made in months as I have been dealing with my friend's illness," reaffirm our commitment to serving our community with utmost care and dedication.
