Currie Funeral Home: Honoring Lives with Compassion and Dignity
Since 1924, Currie Funeral Home has been a trusted pillar of support and comfort for families in Kilmarnock, Virginia and the surrounding areas. As a longstanding establishment in our community, we understand the importance of guiding families through the difficult journey of saying goodbye to their loved ones.
Our rich history dates back to the humble beginnings of A. C. Elmore Furnishing Undertaker, founded by Mr. Albin Chinn Elmore. Mr. Elmore's commitment to serving our community led to the establishment of the funeral home on East Church Street. Over the years, the business changed hands and names, finally becoming the Currie Funeral Home in 1985, under the ownership of Mr. James Latane Currie and his wife.
Today, under the leadership of Mr. Gerald W. Sellers and Mr. Thomas W. Gale, our funeral home continues the legacy of compassion, professionalism, and personalized service. With immense gratitude for Mr. Currie's contributions, we have chosen to honor his memory by retaining the name Currie Funeral Home.
At Currie Funeral Home, we understand that grieving doesn't end with the funeral, which is why we offer ongoing support to those who have lost a loved one. Our free daily grief support email program provides daily encouragement and solace, while our weekly newsletter offers guidance on how to extend a helping hand during the first year of loss.
We also recognize the importance of pre-planning for the inevitable. Few events in life are as certain as death, yet often we neglect to prepare for it. Our team is dedicated to helping you navigate the difficult decisions, ensuring that your wishes are respected and your legacy is honored.
We invite you to explore our website for more information on funeral arrangements, grief support, and other valuable resources. Should you have any questions or require assistance, our compassionate team is readily available by phone, email, or in person.
At Currie Funeral Home, we consider it a privilege to serve you and your family during this challenging time. With unwavering commitment, we honor lives with the utmost respect, compassion, and dignity.
