In the 1960s, George Woodson Joynes, son of Henry W. Joynes, joined the firm and carried forward the rich traditions for which the funeral home was renowned. Gradually, the Falls Church and Washington, D.C. locations were closed, and a new facility was constructed at its present location on North Third St. in Warrenton. Darryl Joynes joined the firm in 1987, ushering in a third generation to uphold the storied legacy of Joynes Funeral Home.
